Step 1- Figure out the undelivered paychecks in the software
You’ll have to begin the troubleshooting by finding out the pay checks that aren’t delivered. These unsent paychecks will create problems for you when you work on payroll data or try to download the updates for the payroll service. Refer to these steps-
Click the Edit option in QuickBooks on your PC and select Find from the drop-down list.
Hover over the Advanced tab and click on the Choose filter option.
Tap the Detail level in the filters and hit Summary only.
Select the Online status and single-click Online to send.
Hit Find.

You’ll have all the stuck paychecks in front of you after applying these steps.
Step 2- Edit the details of the stuck paychecks
Apply the steps mentioned underneath to edit the paycheck information and remove them from your QuickBooks-
Approach the first or the oldest stuck paycheck and select Paycheck Detail.
Open the Review Paycheck window, and under Earnings, create a new earning item identical to the previous entry.
Click No when you see a Net Pay Locked message on your screen.
Don’t change tax amounts and net pay.
Click Ok and Yes if you see any Past transaction message.
Click Save and close and select Yes for any Recording Transaction warning message.
Reopen the paycheck and tap Paycheck Details.
Remove the earning items you created in the list.
Do not change the net pay & tax amounts before clicking Ok.
Repeat these steps after opening all the stuck paychecks individually.
Once all the stuck paychecks are removed, update the payroll service again.
You won’t face any issues downloading the payroll updates after applying the procedure given above.
